LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 26, 2013

TO:
Honorable Ryan Guillen, Chair, House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1814 by Lucio III (Relating to the preservation of Texas Historical Use Buildings.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to add an additional use for the General Revenue-Dedicated Texas Preservation Trust Fund Account No.664, a fund administered by the Texas Historical Commission, and include financial assistance related to a Texas Historical Use building. It is assumed that the Historical Commission would need to update agency rules, guidelines, and grant applications; however, it is anticipated the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State and could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
