No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Section 683.015 of the Transportation Code to authorize certain counties and municipalities to transfer any funds previously transferred to a law enforcement agency under Subsection (d) that were not used to the attorney representing the state. The attorney representing the state may use funds transferred to compensate property owners whose property is damaged as a result of a pursuit involving a law enforcement agency.
According to the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.
