FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB1971 by Davis, John (Relating to a pilot program conducted by the Department of Aging and Disability Services to authorize certain accreditation surveys of assisted living facilities.), As Engrossed
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would permit the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to develop and implement a pilot program to authorize the use of an accreditation survey for assisted living facilities. If DADS implements the pilot, the agency would be required to implement the pilot program with the goal that at least one assisted living facility will have used the survey by August 31, 2014. DADS indicates the cost to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and can be absorbed within available resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
