No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would clarify that the changes made by the 82nd Legislature in H.B. 984 apply to offenses committed before the effective date of that act, May 19, 2011. The act concerned concurrent jurisdiction of certain municipal courts to hear criminal cases. The Office of Court Administration indicated no significant fiscal impact to the courts is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
