No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Water Code to require certain conservation and reclamation districts to award contracts to the lowest responsible bidder or to the bidder who provides the goods or services at the best value for the district. The bill would specify how a district would determine the best value.
 
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality indicated no significant fiscal impact is anticipated. The Water Development Board reported no fiscal impact is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
