No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Human Resources Code to provide the effective date of a Medicaid provider's ineligibility to participate in the Medicaid program after the provider has been found liable of Medicaid fraud. The Office of the Attorney General has indicated that any cost associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
