LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 3, 2013

TO:
Honorable Jane Nelson, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2276 by Crownover (Relating to notice of residential services available for persons with intellectual disabilities.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to provide each person inquiring about residential services for persons with intellectual disabilities with a pamphlet or similar information about state supported living centers and the availability of services at the center nearest to the person. DADS indicates any cost to implement provisions of the bill are minimal and may be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
