IN RE:
HB2303 by Rodriguez, Eddie (Relating to a request for a customer record of a financial institution for guardianship purposes.), As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
This bill would add to the list of circumstances under which a financial institution is not authorized or required to give its customer notice of a request for records. Requests for account records pursuant to an investigation by a court investigator or by the court to determine whether a guardianship should be established are added. These inquiries are standard practice, particularly when a guardianship of the estate is sought.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
