HB2323 by Gonzalez, Naomi (Relating to the extension of an emergency order for protective services for certain persons who are elderly or have disabilities.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Human Resources Code to extend the amount of time a court may extend an emergency order for protective services for certain persons who are elderly or have disabilities.

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2013. 

 

The Department of Family and Protective Services and the Office of Court Administration do not anticipate any significant fiscal impact as a result of complying with the provisions of the bill.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
