IN RE:
HB2399 by Turner, Sylvester (Relating to a study of the feasibility and desirability of certain changes to the juvenile justice system.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Executive Director of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department to create a committee composed of employees of the department to conduct a study on the feasibility and desirability of certain changes to the juvenile justice system. The Texas Juvenile Justice Department has determined that the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
