No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code, Chapter 2157, to require state agencies to consider cloud computing options when making purchases for major information resources projects.

Three agencies including the Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA), the Department of Information Resources (DIR) and the State Auditor's Office (SAO) indicate no significant impact and that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within current resources.
