IN RE:
HB2433 by Davis, John (Relating to the periods during which breeder deer may be transferred for release.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend portions of the Parks and Wildlife Code relating to the dates a breeder deer may be transported for release. Under bill provisions, an individual may sell, transfer, ship, or transport a breeder deer only during certain periods, as described.  An individual may transport a breeder deer for release during other periods only if the deer’s the antlers have been removed in procedures prescribed by rule of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission. The bill would take immediate effect if the bill receives two-thirds the vote in both houses.  Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
