No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to prohibit in certain criminal cases the Court's granting of a directed verdict, or its functional equivalent, before the jury renders its verdict. The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate that the bill would result in a significant fiscal impact to the court system. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
