LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 3, 2013

TO:
Honorable Tan Parker, Chair, House Committee on Corrections

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2443 by Parker (Relating to the composition of the Texas Juvenile Justice Board. ), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 202 of the Human Resources Code to alter the composition and reduce the size of the Texas Juvenile Justice Board. The size of the board would be reduced from 13 members to 9 members. It is assumed that the general revenue savings resulting from implementing the provisions of the bill would not constitute a significant fiscal impact to the State. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2013.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
