No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to require a county that contracts with a licensed auctioneer or who uses an Internet auction site offering online bidding to sell surplus or salvage property of any value to post notice for at least 10 days. Under current statute, a county would be required to post notice only for items with an estimated value of not more than $500.
