No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to collect and report information concerning the number of inmates who have been in the conservatorship of a state agency responsible for providing child protective services. TDCJ and the Department of Family and Protective Services have determined that the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to those agencies.
