No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Water Code to authorize certain districts to impose a reasonable fee for processing a well permit application that proposes transferring groundwater outside the district's boundaries and could limit the amount of water that may be transferred.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
