HB2885 by McClendon (Relating to the availability of the personal information of a legislator under the public information law.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to allow a current or former lieutenant governor or member of the legislature to restrict access to certain personal information held by a governmental agency. The Office of the Attorney General indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

 

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house. Otherwise, the bill would take September 1, 2013.
