The bill would amend Chapter 215 of the Local Government Code to prohibit the governing body of a municipality from adopting or enforcing an ordinance, rule, or regulation that imposes restrictions or regulates the activity of a state license holder, and would establish exceptions for a zoning ordinance under Chapters 211 or 214; sexually oriented businesses; fire, electrical and plumbing codes; and wages, benefits, and workplace safety or conditions.
