The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize a county commissioners court to contract with a licensed attorney to enforce subdivision platting requirements to enforce subdivision platting requirements in counties that are economically distressed or that are located near the international border of this state; and to recover civil penalties, attorney's fees, litigation costs, and investigation costs.
According to the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the State is anticipated.
