No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Transportation Code to increase the civil penalty to not more than $2,000, in addition to a criminal penalty, on a person who operates an automotive wrecking and salvage yard in violation of the chapter. A penalty collected would be deposited into the county or municipal treasury, as applicable.
