No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to certain limitations in health benefit plans and health insurance policies.  The bill would repeal Section 1201.227 of the Insurance Code relating to intoxicants and narcotics. 

Based on information provided by The Texas Department of Insurance, it is assumed that implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing staff and resources.

Based on information provided by the Teacher Retirement System, Texas A&M University System, and the UT System Administration, the bill would have no fiscal impact. 


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
