No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to include the county election official among parties receiving notice of certain juror disqualifications. The bill would also amend the Election Code to require registrar notice to voters of certain juror disqualifications.

 

The bill is not anticipated to have a significant fiscal impact to the Secretary of State or to the statewide court system. The bill would take effect immediately if receiving a two-thirds vote of each house, otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2013.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
