No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 241 of the Health and Safety Code, related to administrative penalties assessed or imposed against certain hospitals and reported to certain health professional licensing boards. The provisions of the bill would only apply to an assessment or imposition of an administrative penalty for a violation that occurs on or after the effective date of September 1, 2013.

The Department of State Health Services indicates that any cost associated with implementing provisions of the bill would be accomplished using existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
