No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 241 of the Health and Safety Code, related to the reporting to certain health professional licensing boards findings from certain inspections and investigations. The provisions of the bill would only apply to an inspection or investigation conducted by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) that occurs on or after the effective date of Sept. 1, 2013. DSHS indicated that any cost associated with implementing provisions of the bill would be accomplished using existing resources.
