FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3314 by Kuempel (Relating to instruction and continuing education requirements for certain court clerks.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code as it relates to the continuing education requirements of certain judicial clerks. The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact to the court system resulting from the bill. The change in law would apply only to a clerk who assumes the duties of office after the bill's effective date. The bill takes effect immediately if receiving a two-thirds vote of each house, otherwise the bill takes effect September 1, 2013.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
