HB3385 by Hilderbran (Relating to limited liability for an agritourism entity involved in an agritourism activity.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would add a new chapter to the Civil Practice and Remedies Code limiting the liability of agritourism entities under certain specified circumstances. The change in law would apply only to a cause of action accruing on or after the bill's effective date. The bill would take effect immediately if receiving a two-thirds vote of each house, otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

The Texas Department of Agriculture reports that the bill will have no fiscal impact on the agency. The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact to the court system resulting from the bill. 


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
