No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Civil Practice and Remedies Code as it relates to attorney's fees and litigation expense agreements. The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact to the court system resulting from the bill. The change in law would apply only to an action commenced, settled, or in which judgment was entered on or after the effective date of the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
