HB3476 by Paddie (Relating to the liability of certain sports officials and organizations.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would add a new chapter to the Civil Practice and Remedies Code limiting the liability of sports officials and organizations in certain circumstances. The change in law would apply only to an act, error, or omission occuring on or after the bill's effective date. The bill would take effect immediately if receiving a two-thirds vote of each house, otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

 

It is not anticipated that the bill would result in any significant fiscal impact to the court system.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
