No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure by defining "pen register information" and requires an electronic communications service provider installing and using a trap and trace device to deliver the pen register information to the appropriate law enforcement agency. No significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
