No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to establish a peer education program for offenders in TDCJ. TDCJ has determined that the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
