HB3560 by Anchia (Relating to the filing of personal financial statements by members of the board of directors of a regional tollway authority; creating an offense.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Transportation code to require board members of regional tollway authorities to file financial statements with the Ethics Commission in the same manner as state officers. The bill would also define violations of the provisions of the bill as a Class B misdemeanor. A Class B misdemeanor is punishable by a fine of not more than $2,000, confinement in jail for a term not to exceed 180 days, or both.
 
It is anticipated that any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing agency resources.

The bill would take effect January 1, 2014. 


Local Government Impact

Costs associated with enforcement, prosecution, and confinement could likely be absorbed within existing resources. Revenue from fines imposed and collected is not anticipated to have a significant fiscal impact.
