LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 18, 2013

TO:
Honorable Craig Estes, Chair, Senate Committee on Agriculture, Rural Affairs & Homeland Security

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3566 by Kleinschmidt (Relating to the regulation of advertising by structural pest control businesses.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would not prohibit the Department of Agriculture (TDA) from adopting rules regulating the license name of a structural pest control business in the business's advertising.

TDA indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all members elected to each house; otherwise it would take effect September 1, 2013.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
