FROM:

IN RE:
HB3593 by Burnam (Relating to the determination that a voter is ineligible to vote.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Election Code relating to the determination that a voter is ineligible to vote by providing the Secretary of State with criteria to be used when determining whether an individual is deceased or not a citizen, and by describing certain actions to be taken by the Secretary of State and affected counties based on such determinations.
The Secretary of State indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.
This bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of each house; if not, it will take effect on September 1, 2013.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
