No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 401 of the Health and Safety Code, to direct the Department of State Health Services (DSHS), in conjunction with the Department of Transportation (TxDOT), to designate alternative routes for the transportation of certain radioactive waste in some municipalities. DSHS and TxDOT indicate that costs related to implementing the bill would be absorbed within current resources.
