No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 531, Government Code, to add new duties to the Council on Children and Families, including authorizing dedicated staff to coordinate interagency grant or resource development efforts to improve outcomes for children and families.

HHSC anticipates implementing the provisions of the bill would require additional full-time equivalents. The agency estimates there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
