IN RE:
HB3750 by Farrar (Relating to digital storage of copy machines.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Business and Commerce Code by adding Chapter 107 to require that businesses destroy digital copies from machines no longer retained by the business.

Multiple agencies including the Comptroller of Public Accounts, the Health and Human Services Commission, the Department of Public Safety, the Texas Workforce Commission and the Department of Motor vehicles indicate no fiscal impact to the state. The Office of the Attorney General, the Secretary of State, the Office of Court Administration, and the Department of Licensing and Regulation anticipate any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.
