SB49 by Zaffirini (Relating to transitional living assistance for children with disabilities who reside in general residential operations.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code as it relates to transitional living assistance for children with disabilities who reside in general residential operations.

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

If before implementing any provisions of the bill, a state agency determines that a waiver or authorization from a federal agency is necessary for implementation, the agency affected by the provision shall request the waiver or authorization and may delay implementing that provision until the waiver or authorization is granted.

The Department of Family and Protective Services and the Department on Aging and Disability Services do not anticipate any significant fiscal impact as a result of complying with the provisions of the bill.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
