IN RE:	SB103 by Patrick (Relating to the elimination of straight-party voting for judicial offices.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Election Code to eliminate straight party voting for judicial offices. The bill also would modify the ballot order and would create a new category of “Judicial Offices” which groups all judicial candidates together on the ballot.

The Secretary of State reported no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

Webb, Tarrant, Travis, and Washington counties reported no fiscal impact is anticipated.
