IN RE:
SB126 by Nelson (Relating to the creation of a mental health and substance abuse public reporting system.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code as it relates to the creation of a mental health and substance abuse public reporting system.   Under the provisions of the bill, the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) would be required to establish and maintain a public reporting system of performance and outcome measures related to community mental health and substance abuse services.   Based on the analysis provided by DSHS, it is assumed that the provisions of the bill can be implemented within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
