Honorable Lois W. Kolkhorst, Chair, House Committee on Public Health
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
SB141 by Huffman (Relating to the requirements for issuance of a license to practice orthotics and prosthetics.), As Engrossed
The bill would amend the Occupations Code as it relates to requirements for issuance of a license to practice orthotics and prosthetics. Under the provisions of the bill, the Texas Board of Orthotics and Prosthetics, a licensing board that is administratively attached to the Department of State Health Services (DSHS), would be required to modify rules and application forms. DSHS states that the provisions of the bill can be implemented within existing resources.
