No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would continue the Commission on the Arts for 12 years through August 31, 2025 and would reduce the composition of the Commission from 17 to 9 members to serve staggered six year terms. The bill would also clarify the agency’s grant making authority. The bill would take effect the 91st day after the last day of session or August 26, 2013. It is anticipated that implementation of the bill would have a minimal fiscal impact.
