SB227 by Williams (Relating to the dispensing of aesthetic pharmaceuticals by physicians and therapeutic optometrists; imposing fees.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the dispensation of aesthetic pharmaceuticals by physicians and therapeutic optometrists.  The bill would require the Texas Medical Board and the Optometry Board to adopt rules by March 1, 2014.

Based on the information provided by the Texas Medical Board, the Optometry Board and the Board of Pharmacy, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
