SB256 by Deuell (Relating to tracking career information for graduates of Texas medical schools and persons completing medical residency programs in Texas.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Higher Education Coordinating Board to establish no later than January 1, 2014, a system to acquire and maintain data regarding the initial residency program choices made by graduates of medical schools in Texas and the initial practice choices made by persons completing medical residency programs in this state.  Based on information submitted by the Higher Education Coordinating Board, the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources. 

This legislation would take effect September 1, 2013.
