No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill changes the qualifications for a medical examiner appointed by a commissioners court to allow a person who is licensed and in good standing in another state, is seeking licensure in Texas, and has been granted a provisional license to serve as medical examiner.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
