SB357 by Hinojosa (Relating to the issuance of protective orders for certain sexual, stalking, and trafficking offenses. ), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would add sexual abuse and trafficking to the list of offenses that would make a victim eligible for a protective order. The bill would also permit applications for certain protective orders to be filed in any county in which an element of the alleged offense occurred or any court with with jurisdiction over previously issued applicable protective orders.
