TO: | Honorable Jane Nelson, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services |
FROM: | Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board |
IN RE: | SB428 by Nelson (Relating to background and criminal history checks for parents or other relatives of children in residential child-care facilities.), As Introduced |
The bill would modify Human Resources Code, Chapter 42, to exempt child care facilities from submitting required information under certain conditions if the department has a recent background or criminal history check on file for the desired parties.
The Department of Family and Protective Services does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact as a result of implementing the provisions of the bill.
