SB428 by Nelson (Relating to background and criminal history checks for parents or other relatives of children in residential child-care facilities.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would modify Human Resources Code, Chapter 42, to exempt child care facilities from submitting required information under certain conditions if the department has a recent background or criminal history check on file for the desired parties.

The Department of Family and Protective Services does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact as a result of implementing the provisions of the bill.
