No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
This bill amends the Family Code, Sec. 161.203 to add certain requirements before a termination of parental rights suit can be nonsuited, e.g., determining whether the dismissal is in the best interest of the child and whether child support, visitation, and other orders affecting the child should continue after dismissal. According to the Office of Court Administation, no significant fiscal impact to the courts is anticipated.
