LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 14, 2013

TO:
Honorable John Carona, Chair, Senate Committee On Business & Commerce

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB515 by Eltife (Relating to the sale of malt liquor, ale, and beer by the holder of a brewpub license.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends the Alcoholic Beverage Code relating to the sale and production of malt liquor, ale, and beer by brewpub license holders. It is assumed that the estimated increase in revenue would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State. The bill would take effect immediately upon enactment, assuming that it received the requisite two-thirds majority vote in both chambers of the Legislature. Otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2013.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
