No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Election Code to add primary elections to the list of elections in which a commissioner’s court may eliminate county election precinct polling places and establish countywide polling places.
The Secretary of State indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
